Quotes and Cookies: Make the Most

There will never be another now -
I'll make the most of today.
There will never be another me -
I'll make the most of myself.

~Helen Keller

I think Helen Keller is one of the most amazing people who have ever lived, and I love this quote. It totally and completely works with writing, and it totally and completely works with every aspect of your life. It's a good reminder that this time we have on earth is precious. And so are we. We need to make the most of both.

And while we're thinking about how to make the most out of what we've got, have a cookie!

These were made and photographed by the extraordinary writer / blogger
Leigh Ann Kopans. Thanks, Leigh Ann!

And speaking of uberly-cool people, Carrie Butler is one of them. I entered into a giveaway on her blog, and my mad rule-following skills helped me to win! (And, uh... I guess that makes it a "contest," then, right, Carrie?) Anyway, the prize was a blog button. Check out her mad skills! (My favorite part is the sprinkles on my cookie name.:)) And go check out So You're a Writer to see the spoils from the other winners.

Love the quote! It's so true. There's never gonna be another me. Or you.

Or you. Or you. Or you. :)

That was a wonderful quote. Life is too precious not to make the best of it. And that was a cool button Carrie gave you. :)

They used to call me the cookie monster, but, since I've become diabetic, cookies are a rare treat.
No bother. Just keep on cooking.

Love Helen Keller and this quote. I live a couple towns away from a house that Annie Sullivan & Helen Keller bought and lived in during 1903-1917. I'm loving the fact that you love cookies, too!

Uber-cool? Me? You mean I get to sit with the cool kids today? Yes! :D

Thanks for the shout-out, Peggy! Hah! Yeah, I think your rule-following skills blurred the giveaway/contest line a little. :P

I'm so glad that you like it! Enjoy your Labor Day weekend! :)
