There was a problem with this post, (I heart you, Blogger! Really. Even when you do crazy things.) so I had to repost it above, exactly the same. (If you had a way to move these comments to that post, I'd love you even more, Blogger. Just sayin.')
I think that we have to replay the scene over and over in our heads while we are writing it, and that because it’s so intense, we feel every second of it. I remember physically shaking after a hostage scene that I’d written. This could be why when we read it back it seems slightly flatter than before.
It seems like this is a week for laughing for you. What a great story :o)
Only writers can get away with murdering people. It's a great profession.
I love today's quote. There's a lot of things I'm unable to say, but must say, things I can't find the words to write, but attempt anyway. Big emotions, real problems, deep thoughts and feelings, these this elude me so often. But I'm still trying to write what I can't say, and succeed.
Hi! I am a MG writer, represented by the fabulous Sara Crowe of Harvey Klinger Inc. My debut, SKY JUMPERS, will be published by Random House Children's Books September 24, 2013. I love happy kids even more than I love cookies, I make lists as often as I eat lunch, and I love having every light in the house on almost as much as I love writing.

You make me long for my playwriting crit group back in Seattle.
