Quotes and Cookies: All the Richer

"If you have other things in your life - family, friends, good productive day work - these can interact with your writing and the sum will be all the richer."

~David Brin

We've kind of had an immerse-yourself-in-this-writing-community theme this week, and I think that we can all agree that interacting with each other will make our writing all the richer. And I think we pretty much all know that our writing will also be all the richer when we spend time having fun with family and friends. Here's to enjoying the last bits of summer with those we love!

Oooo! And speaking of "all the richer," check out these cookies! Go ahead and grab one and enjoy it's richness while you're making your life-- and your writing-- all the richer.

Umm Peggy, Im trying to be on a diet here? Which means that I havent cooked or baked anything all week. Which means my family has been eating toast and cereal all week ( and they arent too happy about it either) Im ready to chuck the salad and protein stuff and dive in to cookies. And its all YOUR fault!

First of all, love the new layout and blog design. Love the cookies more though! Very much agree that every day interactions make writing all the richer.

I LOVE your new layout! And wow, those cookies look heavenly!

Yep, I've been absent from the blogosphere because I've been spending time with the fam before school starts. Come Monday, it's back to work.

Have a great weekend, Peggy!

OOOOH, blog makeover! So pretty!

(I feel weird I havne't commented here in awhile, but WriteOnCon totally ate my week...)

I'm DYING for my kids to go back to school. Which they do tomorrow. Today's going to be full of prep and pep talks - and trying to steel myself for leaving my baby girl, (16 months old) who has literally never been away from me. I don't think she's going to take it too well.

I just woke up and decided to visit everyone's blog. The first thing I see is your cookies and now I don't want a regular breakfast, I want cookies for breakfast! Now to figure out how to eat cookies for breakfast and explain to the kids why they can't have any until after noon....

Doesn't quite seem fair that the first thing I looked at this morning while online was a delicious looking chocolate cookie. Too many great recipes abound on this Internet! Have a great week.

Everyone-- Okay, clearly I should not post pictures that look so darn tasty, especially early in the morning. I'd like to say that I feel bad enough that I'll never do it again... but I probably will.

Cherie-- Exactly me, too. I figured it's better to send the kids back to school feeling like their summer was packed with as much fun as the last week before it started was. :)

Leigh Ann-- Good luck with your baby girl! That first time is always so heartbreaking, no matter what age it happens at. I wish you the best with it!
